SILVERSUN PICKUPS - SWOON

Pues aki esta el nuevo LP de Silversun Piuckups, el cual es a mi gusto uno de los mejores o el mejor de todo lo que ha salido en este, aún muy joven 2009. La banda de Los Angeles, liderada por Brian Aubert, entrega un disco emotivo y muy, muy potente. Los Silversun Pickups entregan composiciones precisas, concretas, con arreglos interesantes y aunque por momentos parecieran una versión ligera de bandas noise como los poderosisimos Sonic Youth, esto es mas un comentario positivo. Destacadas: Growing old is getting old, The Royal We con un matiz muy interesante construido con una viola eléctrica y Substitution, bonita y emotiva. El sencillo "Panic Switch" aun no cuenta con video, asi q aki esta uno del ya mencionado Aubert, haciendo un cover de Shadowplay de Joy Division.

POCAS VECES TIENES LA OPORTUNIDAD DE DECIR QUE DURANTE LA MAYORIA DEL TIEMPO EN ESCENA UNA BANDA INTERPRETÓ, MÁS QUE CANCIONES, PIEZAS DE ARTE HERMOSISIMAS Y RELEVANTES PARA EL MUNDO Q LOS RODEA. AYER CINCO TIPOS DEL MAMÓN Y CLASISTA OXFORD TOCARON ALGUNAS DE LAS MELODIAS MÁS BELLAS QUE SE HAN ESCRITO, UN PAR DE CANCIONES DE ROCK BUENISIMAS E INCLUSO UN HIT QUE DE TAN ODIADO, SE VOLVIO UNA BROMA BIZARRA, UN GUIÑO, UN GRAND FINALE.

EL CONCIERTO DE AYER, LARGAMENTE ESPERADO TUVO MOMENTOS INCREIBLES: UNA 15 STEP QUE DIO INICIO AL VIAJE, UNA NATIONAL ANTHEM EN VERSIÓN "HORA NACIONAL" (POR DECIRLO DE ALGUNA FORMA) UN TALK SHOW HOST COMO PARA EXORCIZAR VIEJOS DEMONIOS, UN EXIT MUSIC FOR A FILM GRACIOSAMENTE INCONCLUSO, UNA RECKONER PRECIOSA Y SI, INCLUSO UN CREEP, EXTRAÑO, HIPSTER, COMICO (PARA ELLOS Y PARA NOSOTROS).



NO SE SI ESTE POST CREZCA CONFORME EL CANSANCIO DEL VIAJE CEDA, (QUE ES LO MÁS PROBABLE) LO CIERTO ES QUE EL DISTRITO FEDERAL VIO EN LOS ÚLTIMOS DOS DÍAS A LA MAS GRANDE BANDA DE ROCK DE NUESTROS DÍAS, SI NOS DESEARON UNA BUENA VIDA COMO ÚLTIMA, ULTIMISIMA DESPEDIDA, PUES ES PEDO DE ELLOS.

LO NUEVO DE PLACEBO: BATTLE FOR THE SUN

Pues los Placebo estrenan single este mes, y disco el 8 de junio... yo en lo personal ya me cago por tenerlo, pero mientras aqui esta el link donde te regalan la rola.

Watchmen...

Pues que ayer fuimos a ver Watchmen y estuvo con madres, muy osada para ser una peli de comic y de hecho, si no les laten los personajes que usan mallas, no creo que esta los vaya a hacer cambiar de opinion... en fin 2 de 3 para Zack Snyder (300) que actualmente trabaja en una cinta de animación llamada Guardians of Ga'Hoole y luego dirigira un segmento del remake de Heavy Metal junto a David Fincher... en fin, aki dejo el soundtrack que tambien esta muy cabrón.

Ah y para los que las extrañaron, esta "version" si incluye las rolas que se usaron para promocionar la cinta, es decir: Take a Bow de Muse y el remix de The End is the Beggining is the End de Smashing Pumpkins

PUBLIC ENEMIES

Michael Mann es aquel director que en los 90´s entrego la chingona HEAT y algunos bodrios y otras muy aceptables, casi siempre, de polis y cacos. Ahora nos presenta una historia acerca de John Dillinger, protagonizado por Johnny Deep y Christian Bale, cosa que se, agradara a mutxas, mutxas feminas.
