Albert Hammnond Jr - Yours to Keep

Albert Hammond, como la mayoria de sus compañeros de The Strokes, paso el ultimo par de años concentrado en su proyecto individual, dos LP´s de los cuales aqui dejo el primero. Sus melodias son sencillonas y bonitas, nada pretenciosas y aunque si recuerdan mucho a lo que hace con su banda, creo que tambien tiene elementos propios muy interesantes. En este disco colaboran Julian Casablancas, vocalista de The Strokes y Sean Lennon.

Pues total que Madonna ya dirige y para su debut eligio esta historia acerca de tres roomies, uno de ellos, Eugene Hütz, vocalista de Gogol Bordello, encargados de la musica del film, q ya se perfila como un video musical de dos horas... sera bueno?

Joker de Brian Azzarello

Uno de los recursos mas sobados en cuestion de pelis, series, novelas y claro, comics, o novelas gráficas para los que se quiren sentir mejor con la idea de ver revistas de monitos, es matar a un personaje importante o incluso, el protagonista, todo con el fin de capitalizar una franquicia o personaje que anda bajo de raiting. Según yo, despues de The Dark Knight (Nolan 2008) Batman, es un personaje que anda todo, menos de capa caida, sin embargo DC Comics, ha decidido capitalizar codiciosamente la franquicia y decidio matar al personaje... y luego no.... y luego que siempre si, arrojando una serie de volúmenes aburridones que solo funcionaron para que los consumidores gabachos hicieran coraje y gastaran varo... pero bueno entre las muy diversas apologías a tanto desmadre, salio este numerito bien decente, y como plus, presenta versiones de lo que podrian ser los personajes dentro de la dinámica de filmes de Chris Nolan (alguien dijo Jonnhy Deep?)

BEIRUT - ELEPHANT GUN

Hace poco discutiamos el disco nuevo de Beirut, March of the Zapotec y algo, algo, algo, llegando a la conclusión de que si esta chido, pero no era particularmente el favorito de nadie. En fin, aqui esta el mencionado EP, favorito mio, Elephant Gun, para las que no lo tengan, para los que lo hayan perdido o para aquel que lo quiera doble.
